WP10 Implementation of 3rd Generation Technologies

Objectives

A main objective of our RTD activities consists in the early implementation of 3rd generation sequencing technologies because sensitive sequencing of low abundant DNA fragments or sequencing entire genomes even with 2nd generation DNA sequencers is still labour-, time- and cost-intensive. We plan to offer 3rd generation sequencing as a new tool for transnational access projects in the second half of the ESGI project.
